The truth is that this is a personal choice that is based on the fact that a potential employer usually only needs one thing from an applicant before making a decision as to whether or not they will hire an applicant: what can I get from them that will make me a good fit for their organization?When you state your past job, you are essentially telling the employer what they want to hear and what they can hope to find from you. Although it may appear that way, it is highly recommended that you explain exactly what you did for that particular job. If you do not provide any detail at all, then you may be missing out on some great career opportunities that are out there just waiting for you to find them.So how do you know if you should state that you had a previous job when the truth is tha t you do not? In fact, if you leave out the term 'work experience' from your resume, then you may find that an employer will view you in a negative light and do their best to avoid you.Second, your resume can serve as a way to give you an edge over other applicants who may have a longer work history, but because you do not have a very lengthy work history, it may not show as well as an applicant who has a higher number of years in the same job. Finally, listing your work experience in yo ur resume will give potential future employers the chance to know you and will ensure that you are viewed as someone who will be able to perform the duties required for the position that you are applying for.
